Learn: Rapid STEMI ID
Our Price: $75.00

According to the American Heart Association, studies show that a person experiencing an ST-segment elevation myocardial infarction (STEMI) suffers less heart damage and has an improved chance of survival if they are treated within 90 minutes from onset of symptoms. Each year, many patients with STEMI fail to receive critical reperfusion therapy in a timely fashion and nearly 30% of STEMI patients do not receive any form of treatment to restore blood flow. In order to have effective, rapid treatment of patients with STEMI, it is essential that emergency healthcare providers are educated to immediately recognize and treat STEMI. As a result, the American Heart Association and Laerdal Medical alliance has created Learn:™ Rapid STEMI ID.

This interactive, self-paced course prepares an individual to evaluate and assess victims with potential symptoms of myocardial infarction, interpret their ECG for signs of STEMI, and activate a system of care for rapid reperfusion of an occluded coronary artery.
