Enhance skills in the treatment of adult cardiac arrest patients or other cardiopulmonary emergency patients.
For emergency, intensive care, or critical care healthcare providers such physicians, nurses, paramedics, respiratory therapists, and other professionals who may need to respond to a cardiovascular emergency.
Part 1 is interactive online cognitive learning. Learners complete an interactive, cognitive portion that includes ten realistic patient scenarios covering the ACLS algorithms, a team dynamics lesson, and extensive AHA reference material.
This course is Part 1 ONLY. Part 2 is a skills test which must be completed with an AHA ACLS instructor at ANY participating American Heart Association Training Centers. Students are allowed up to 32 hours to complete Part 1, at their own pace and time, additional time is required for skills test (Part 2). For students located around Reading, PA you can contact our training Center at 610-607-6221 for Skill testing. All others students must complete online course, print their certificate and contact their local American Heart Association for the nearest location. Skills must be tested within 30 days of completion.
